WisDOT DMV Issues New Plain Dealing Bulletin: Dealer Restrictions on Obtaining Replacement Titles; Social Media Regulation; Wholesale Dealer Licensing

Wisconsin motor vehicle dealers should be sure to review the most recent issue of the Wisconsin DOT Plain Dealing bulletin for important policy and administrative information published by the Division of Motor Vehicles Dealer, Dealer & Agent Section. The April 2021 Plain Dealing issue includes guidance on the following subjects:

  • Wholesale Dealers Cannot Hold Buyer’s Licenses;

  • Regulation of Dealership Social Media Advertising (including salesperson posts!);

  • Dealer Prohibitions on Obtaining Replacement Titles on DOT’s Public Webpage;
