WATDA Update: WisDOT DMV Issues Warning Letters Regarding Dealers Obtaining Replacement Titles

Today, the Wisconsin Automobile & Truck Dealers Association issued an important bulletin to its members regarding Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV), Warning Letters being issued to over 200 Wisconsin motor vehicle dealers relating to dealer use of customer information and accessing DMV’s public-facing computer system to obtain replacement vehicle titles. WATDA members should review this important bulletin on what will be a point of emphasis for DMV field investigators, going forward. And if you’re a Wisconsin motor vehicle dealer who isn’t a member of WATDA; well, you should be!!
